I’ve always wished I could be a runner. Lacing up those Nike Frees, playing a perfectly set up playlist, and hitting the pavement for 30+ minutes. So I decided to become a runner.
For the first time since I got my fitbit, I went a week without using it this month. It died, and I just kept forgetting to charge it! It was weird, and I don’t ever want to do that again. Now that I’ve got it up and going again, I feel much more at ease. I feel more accountable and it’s nice to be able to look at your progress at the end of the day and track what you’re doing, and know where to make the changes necessary to meet your goals.
Even if I’m not hitting my step goal every day, having the fitbit again is helping so much with being 100% accountable and keeping my fitness goals in mind. I’ve slacked a bit this week, but for this next week I’m setting a goal to hit my goal every day!
There is nothing that motivates me more than a cute outfit and bright runners when working out, but if I don’t have a great playlist to run too, there’s no way I’ll make it past 2km. I’ve recently been loving everything top 40 for my workout playlist, here it is!
Out of the Woods / Taylor Swift
Problem / Ariana Grande
Black Widow / Iggy Azalea
Sing / ed Sheeran
One Last time / Ariana Grande
Bang Bang / Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande
Up We Go / Lights
She Looks so Perfect / 5 Seconds of summer
Anything I need to check out?
As a big starbucks, and a big Chai person, I was so excited when they released their new chai lattes! And even more excited when they started selling the leaves on it’s own. I swear for a month straight I was drinking a cup every morning! But now that it’s winter, I wanted something a little cozier, and a little more luxurious , so I decided to make a latte out of it! It’s super easy, and all you need is chai, some sugar (my favorite is brown), and some milk.
All you have to do is bring your water to a boil (about 2 cups), and add tbs of the tea, and let it steep for about 5 minutes
Once the tea is a dark colour, add your milk and sugar to taste. I added about 1/4 a cup of milk to mine, and a few chunks of brown sugar and let it steep some more!
When you’ve deemed it ready, pour it over your favorite mug through a steeper, and voila!
I’m really bad at staying in shape. Like, really bad. Actually, I’ve never even really been in shape. Sad. I know. I was getting in a really good habit of working out regularly, eating really well, and overall just being really healthy, and just when I started to see improvements in myself, I totally fell off the bandwagon.
It’s been about a month and a half since I’ve worked out. Yeah. A month and a half. How disgusting is that? I’ve probably gained all the weight I lost, and then some more.
I kept telling myself that I was going to get back into working out regularly, but, big surprise, I never did. But today I was looking through an old picture of me, and realized how slipped since then. And that was that. No more ‘Tomorrow’.
To be fair, this past week has been great. I’ve hit at least 13,000 steps a day, and one day I even hit 19,000! I’ve been feeling great too. I’ve decided that in addition to working out regularly I really should start walking more.
