I’ve moved!

I’ve been on a little construction hiatus this past week, but it’s because I’ve moved from WordPress over to Blogspot!  Check it out!  Screen Shot 2014-11-11 at 7.29.52 PM

This morning I walked 7 minutes to my local UPS access point and picked up my new iPhone 6. I’ve only had it for a few hours but I’m officially in love.
Before this I had a 4s and while they’re great phones, I had cracked the screen for w second time (going right through the camera) and I wasn’t about to have spent $200 on a phone screen. So I decided to save and invest into something more. When I made the decision to upgrade, I thought I would wait for the 6 to be released and buy the 5s for a bit cheaper. But on September 9 that plan changed. The differences between the 4s and the 5s were minimal, but the 6 was enough to justify it. In my opinion, anyway. The huge screen, the improved camera, the rounded edges? Yes please! And now I’m able to take selfies again! (I’m also pretty sure the front camera quality is as good, or even better, than the back camera on the 4s)
I picked up a case at a kiosk in the mall, just so I could have something to protect it before I invest in an otterbox or something more expensive and intense.
Here’s to better blog pictures and more snapchats!

Monday Morning.

And here we go again.

Monday morning, 10:42 Am. I usually like to have my posts scheduled to go up at 8:30 am, pst, but I think sitting down on Monday mornings and gathering my thoughts is a really therapeutic thing.

This morning I went out for a run at 9:30, which I am super proud of myself for.  I’ve been slacking in the exercise department, and wanted to start the week off right.  I then made myself a huge stack of protein pancakes, and oh. my god. delicious!  I will definitely do a recipe post once I get things sorted.  I have packed my lunch and my snacks for work and I am totally ready for today, and the rest of the week.

My new phone gets here soon, and I have very high hopes for this week, and I hope everything is great for all of you as well!

Fall Lippies

I tend to go through phases of what I’m more interested in when it comes to makeup.  I started with eyeliner, then eyeshadow, lipstick, foundation, eyeliner, lipstick, etc.  But let me tell you, when september rolls around, I am always hopping on that Lippies bandwagon trend again.  It’s just such a great time to play around with colours.  And not just dark colours, but bright pinks and nudes too!  A light pink paired with a dark eye?  yes please!

Personally I tend to favour drugstore lip products, mostly because I very often lose lipsticks, but also because I chose variety over brand. Here are some of my favorites!

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Standout / Revlon Colorburst in Soft Nude / Maybelline Color Whisper in Berry Ready / Maybelline Elixir in Rose Redefined / Mac Satin lipstick in Mocha

Premiere Season

Fall is the most wonderful time of the year. Not just because of scarves, and hunter boots, and pumpkin spiced lattes, but because of the Fall TV Premiere season.  After waiting all summer long, we finally get to watch all of our favorite shows!

Here are the shows that I’ve been waiting to start up again! 7e18d773c712d1374106c7de9a6820e2

Switched at birth:  To be honest I haven’t even watched the last season, but when I have a free day I plan on catching up!  This show is totally one of my guilty pleasures.

The Good Wife: This show.  It’s probably my favorite show on television right now.  The combination of the drama and law, it’s perfect!  I’m really looking forward to seeing what they do with this season!

Law & Order-SVU-season 15-title

Law and Order, SVU:  Part of my can’t help but wonder how much longer they’re going to drag this show on for.  Last season I got the feeling that they started to run out of cases to do, so the show started to become a bit more character driven than before.  And as much as I love Olivia, she’s not why I watch the show! Hopefully this season will keep my on my toes.

How to Get Away with Murder: This is a new show, and I made a post on it the other day with my thoughts!  (Spoiler, i love it!)

New Girl: Last season of New Girl was a real bummer for me.  I felt like the story lines were falling flat, and so were the jokes.  But here’s to a new season and hopefully Schmidt will resume to his usual hilarious self and they other characters will follow suit.

Any shows I should check out?

How To Get Away With Murder

Last night a few friends and I cuddled up on the couch with some banana bread and watched the series premiere of ‘How to get away with murder’, and I loved it!  I’m a huge fan of a lot of the actors in the series, and I am so excited to see where it goes!

The pilot did a really good job at setting up the plot for the series while building the characters and not spending too much time setting everything up.  They left a lot out of the pilot, leaving some mystery and suspense, but they still gave a bit of closure with the first case they dealt with.

After the episode was over, we sat there for half an hour to debrief and talk about it. Needless to say, we’ll be doing the same thing next thursday!
